When Zoe unexpectedly discovers she is pregnant, her reaction is one of panic and denial. Afraid that parenthood will mean the end of her freedom and dreams, she initially conceals the news from Tim and then attempts to rush through her “life goals” before the baby arrives.

Tim, on the other hand, embraces the news with open excitement and immediately goes into full “nesting mode,” reading parenting books and planning for their settled future. Their drastically different approaches to the impending arrival of the baby create a major conflict in their relationship.

The film follows Zoe’s journey of reluctance, stubbornness, and personal growth as she struggles to accept the changes that motherhood will bring to her life and her relationship with the man who is ready to be a father.
