Rory Feek surprised everyone at the wedding, including his bride, by performing a song he had written for the occasion titled “I Do.”
Rory Feek, the 59-year-old country music artist, has remarried following the death of his beloved wife, Joey Feek. On Sunday, July 14, Feek tied the knot with Rebecca, his daughter Indiana’s schoolteacher, eight years after Joey’s passing.
Indiana, their 10-year-old daughter, was present at the ceremony, along with several close friends and family members.

In a heartfelt blog post dated July 18, Feek recounted the intimate wedding held “under a beautiful timber-frame pavilion” in Greycliff, Montana. The celebration included close friends and family members.
Feek surprised everyone at the wedding, including his bride, by performing a song he had written for the occasion titled “I Do.”
“I sang at a wedding this past weekend. The only thing was … the bride had no idea. Neither did most of the family and friends who came,” he shared. “So it was a big surprise for just about everyone there. Except me.”
He also released a music video for the song, which showcases the couple’s wedding ceremony. The video highlights Rebecca in a stunning lace gown with a floor-length veil, and Rory in a red velvet vest, white shirt, and beige slacks, performing the song at the altar.
Reflecting on the moment, Feek wrote, “I found myself thinking about how blessed I was to be given the opportunity to love again. To not only feel loved but to have the chance to give love once more. To be the person who gets to spend my life making Rebecca happy.”

A standout moment of the ceremony was Indiana welcoming Rebecca into the family.
“My and her favorite moment of the wedding was this one: When Indiana was given the gift of having a Mama in her life again. And Rebecca was given the gift of being a mother. And we became a family,” Feek expressed.
He shared the journey of their relationship, mentioning that the commitment was solidified in the Spring. Despite knowing marriage was a possibility, the couple waited for Indiana to accept Rebecca as more than just her schoolteacher.
A pivotal moment came in March when Indiana made a heartfelt request.
“Rebecca said, ‘Rory, Indiana just asked me something that I think you need to hear.’ I asked Indy, and she told me that she said, ‘Ms. Rebecca, I think you should marry Papa,’” Feek recounted.

This came shortly after the eight-year anniversary of Joey’s death. Joey Feek passed away on March 4, 2016, at the age of 40, following a battle with stage IV cervical cancer.
Rory Feek reflected on Joey’s passing in his blog, writing, “My wife’s greatest dream came true today. She is in Heaven. The cancer is gone, the pain has ceased and all her tears are dry.”
“Joey is in the arms of her beloved brother Justin and using her pretty voice to sing for her savior. At 2:30 this afternoon, as we were gathered around her, holding hands and praying… my precious bride breathed her last. And a moment later took her first breath on the other side.”
