His mother, Lisa, clarified in a recent Facebook statement that she did not believe her son had intended to end his life and shared poignant details of their last conversation that night.
“His struggles were real. He gave and received so much love and support to and from his tribe. His work in euphoria became a lightning rod for his generation and opened up a conversation about compassion, loyalty, acceptance and love,” she wrote.
They discussed his intentions to financially support his mother and sisters in the aftermath of his father’s death, and he bid her goodnight, expressing his plans to see her in the morning.
