Tyla stunned audiences with a thrilling performance of “Jump” featuring Gunna and Skillibeng at the 2024 BET Awards, marked by captivating visuals and unforgettable moments.
Tyla electrified the crowd with her dynamic performance of “Jump” alongside Gunna and Skillibeng at the 2024 BET Awards on Sunday night (June 30).
The act began with four women artistically painted to represent different parts of a tiger, lying across the floor of a cage. Their synchronized movements created the illusion of a swishing tail, setting the stage for Skillibeng’s captivating “Original gyal, you are no replica (No)” opening line.

Tyla made a dramatic entrance, descending from above on a rope swing, and confidently stepped into the cage to deliver her viral lyric, “They never had a pretty girl from Joburg. See me now, and that’s what they prefurrr.”
Gunna then took the spotlight, performing next to an elephant statue, before Skillibeng returned to the stage, escorted by men on stilts, while Tyla danced beneath them.
Despite having to cancel her first headlining world tour and Coachella appearance earlier this year due to an injury, Tyla has been making a strong comeback. She recently performed at Spotify Beach during Cannes Lions and Afro Nation Portugal.
“Jump,” a track from her debut self-titled album released in March under FAX and Epic Records, is currently climbing the charts, sitting at No. 19 on Rhythmic Airplay and No. 3 on U.S. Afrobeats Songs (as of the charts dated June 29).
