After filming in his hometown of Compton and performing the track six consecutive times at his “The Pop Out” concert last month, Kendrick Lamar has unveiled the highly anticipated video for “Not Like Us,” the leading single from his feud with Drake.

Directed by Dave Free and Lamar, the video pays homage to the West Coast while throwing subtle jabs at Drake and his OVO crew. The clip opens with Tommy the Clown ushering Lamar into a metallic room, where Lamar performs push-ups on cinder blocks—a clear nod to Drake’s track “Push Ups,” which referenced a photo of Lamar doing the exercise.

Lamar is then seen smashing an owl piñata, a symbol of Drake’s OVO owl, with a disclaimer that reads, “No OVHoes were harmed during the making of this video.” The rapper later cruises through the streets with the song’s producer, Mustard, in the passenger seat.

Eagle-eyed fans have noted the presence of Lamar’s fiancée, Whitney Alford, and their two children dancing in a living room. Alford was mentioned in Drake’s diss track “Family Matters,” where Drake insinuated that Dave Free, the video’s co-director and Lamar’s longtime collaborator, fathered one of her children.

The video for “Not Like Us” serves as a triumphant moment for Lamar, who many believe came out on top in his feud with Drake earlier this year.
