His lawyer, Lewis Fusco, confirmed the news to WTSP-TV.

Rapper Julio Foolio Killed
The shooting occurred around 4:40 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Tampa North, where two vehicles were hit by gunfire, resulting in four people being injured, according to Tampa Police spokesperson Jonee Lewis.
One of the victims, believed to be 26-year-old Charles Jones—Foolio’s real name—is awaiting official identification by the medical examiner. The other three victims also sustained injuries during the incident.
Fusco informed WTSP that Foolio had traveled to Tampa to celebrate his birthday at an Airbnb but was asked to leave due to overcrowding. He subsequently moved to the Holiday Inn, where the ambush took place.

While hotel guests were not evacuated, police remained on the scene to offer assistance as needed, Lewis reported.

Authorities are appealing to the public for any video footage or information that could aid in their investigation.
“Any small detail can help us piece together what happened this morning,” Lewis emphasized.
