Her appearance on The Tonight Show follows a standout performance at the June Governor’s Ball, where she drew a massive crowd. Roan delivered an enchanting, feather-filled rendition of her latest single “Good Luck, Babe!” after a lively chat with Fallon.
When asked about her swift ascent to pop stardom, she humorously remarked, “It feels like I was right all along. I already felt like I’d made it when people showed up to my concert a few years ago. Everything else is just the cherry on top.”
The audience was thoroughly entertained by Roan’s performance of “Good Luck, Babe!”.
During the interview, Fallon mentioned a memorable line from Roan’s Coachella performance: “I’m Chappell Roan, and I’m your favorite artist’s favorite artist.” Roan explained this was a nod to Sasha Colby, the celebrated drag queen who won Season 15 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. “There’s gay people here,” Roan quipped, acknowledging the enthusiastic crowd. She revealed her admiration for Colby, hoping to catch her attention with that line.
Chappell Roan’s wish came true, as Colby later shared the Tonight Show clip on her Instagram stories.
