The pop icon is set to unveil “Woman’s World” on July 11 at 7 p.m. ET, followed by the debut of the official music video the next day. The single’s cover art, photographed by Jack Bridgland, features Perry clad in metallic armor-like pants and a bikini top. She gave fans a sneak peek of the song on TikTok, sharing a selfie-style video where she sings along to the lyrics.
While details about her sixth album remain limited, including its title and release date, it marks her first album since “Smile” in August 2020. “Smile” included singles like “Daisies” and its title track but was Perry’s lowest-performing album in years, debuting at No. 5 on the Billboard 200.
Since releasing “Smile,” Perry has been busy with her Las Vegas residency, Play, which ran from 2021 to 2023. The residency concluded in November, hinting at a new era with the message “See you next year” displayed at the end of the final show.
Outside of her music career, Katy Perry has served as a judge on “American Idol” for seven seasons. She announced in February that the 22nd season would be her last, finishing her run on the show in May.
