Chandrababu Naidu spoke with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah following the NDA alliance’s impressive performance.
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Chandrababu Naidu, heading the NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh along with the BJP and Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party, is poised to reclaim the state from the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) led by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The TDP has secured 115 seats and is leading in 19 of the 175 seats in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly. The Jana Sena Party has won 21 seats, and the BJP has 8, bringing the alliance’s total to 163 seats. The YSRCP, running independently, is leading in 12 seats.

Naidu is expected to be sworn in as Chief Minister on June 9 in Amaravati, according to sources.
After the results, Jagan Reddy conceded defeat and submitted his resignation to Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer. In a media address, the outgoing Chief Minister expressed uncertainty about the reasons for their loss but affirmed his commitment to serving the people and wished the winners well. He also convened an internal YSRCP meeting to assess the situation.
Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu spoke with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah following the NDA alliance’s impressive performance. Naidu congratulated Modi and Shah on the alliance’s success, and they, in turn, congratulated him.
Under the seat-sharing agreement, the TDP contested 144 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha seats, the BJP fielded candidates in six Lok Sabha and 10 Assembly constituencies, and the Jana Sena Party contested two Lok Sabha and 21 Assembly seats.

These results represent a significant comeback for the TDP, which had suffered a major defeat to the younger Jagan Reddy in the previous elections.
