There is no any specific date of Mother’s day but it is usually celebrated on the second sunday of May month. This year, Mother’s Day will be celebrated on May 12, 2024. In many countries, it is celebrated on March 21. Greece celebrates this day on February 2.
Mother’s Day 2024:- History
It is said that this day was started in the U.S., when a woman named Anna Jarvis, a social activist, wanted to commemorate the day in the memory of mother because her own mother had expressed this desire.
After three years of her mother’s death, she took the initiative and held a memorial in the year 1908. It was done at St Andrew’s Methodist church in West Virginia. It is said that she didn’t attend it but she sent a telegram to the attendees, highlighting the importance of the day along with five hundred white carnations.

A single day can never be enough to celebrate mother’s day. So, we need to celebrate it everyday. No one can express the love and warmth of mother in words.
