Forbes’ latest report revealed that India welcomed 25 new billionaires to its fold, contributing to the global surge in billionaire ranks. Among them is Renuka Jagtiani, the chairwoman of Landmark Group, boasting a net worth of $4.8 billion.
Identified in Forbes’ New Billionaires 2024 report, Jagtiani holds the 660th position globally among the 2,781 billionaires listed.

Renuka Jagtiani leads Landmark Group, a retailing powerhouse headquartered in Dubai, founded by her late husband Micky Jagtiani in 1973. Initially a single store in Bahrain, Landmark Group has evolved into a multinational conglomerate with over 25 proprietary brands spanning retail, hospitality, food, and leisure sectors.
With 2,200 stores across 24 countries in the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Indian subcontinent, Landmark Group stands as a testament to Jagtiani’s leadership.
At 70, Jagtiani holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mumbai. She played a pivotal role in establishing the high-street fashion brand Splash in 1993, according to LinkedIn.
Jagtiani’s contributions haven’t gone unnoticed, as evidenced by numerous accolades. She was named Outstanding Asian Business Woman of the Year in January 2007 and Businesswoman of the Year in January 2012.
