National Safety Day 2023: First time the National Safety Day was observed in 1972 on the foundation day of the National Safety Council of India. The theme of this year’s National Safety Day is “Our Aim – Zero Harm”.

National Safety Day is celebrated on March 4 every year in India. This day raises awareness about safety at the workplace, on the roads and at home. The National Safety Council of India educates people that safety should be the first and foremost priority of everyone’s life.

The day is also observed for the safety of human health and the environment. Road safety rules describe how important safety is. Some people put their lives at risk by not following the safety rules. Workers should follow safety rules while working in industry or factory so that hazardous or dangerous situation can be avoided.

National Safety Day 2023:- History

First time the National Safety Day was observed in 1972 on the foundation day of the National Safety Council of India. On March 4, 1966 the National Safety Council of India was set up by the Ministry of Labour and Employment. NSC is a non-profit organisation which works for the safety of national volunteers.

Every year, a new theme is given on this day. The theme of National Safety Day 2023 is “Our Aim – Zero Harm”. The aim of this year’s theme is protection of the whole society from every harm.

This day makes people aware of all the safety measures including workplace safety, road safety, safety of human health and environment safety.

Workplace Safety:- Employees are the essential part of every type of business or factory. So, there safety should be on priority of the employers. No worker should be forced to choose between not working safely and their means of livelihood.

Road Safety:- Hundred of thousands accidents take place every day on the roads. Lots of lives can be saved every day by following road safety measures.

Safety of Human health:- Health is wealth. It is necessary for every person to keep their health safe and secure.

Environment Safety:- As pollution is rising continuously and global warming is getting worse day by day, the safety of environment has also become very important.
