Actor and writer Shiv Kumar Subramaniam died in Mumbai

Actor and screenplay writer Shiv Kumar Subramaniam passed away on April 11, 2022 in Mumbai. Director Hansal Mehta mourned on his death and also gave information about his funeral.

Actor and screenplay writer Shiv Kumar Subramaniam passed away on April 11, 2022 in Mumbai. He was best known for films like 2 States with Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor, Hichki, Meenakshi Sundareshwar amongst others.

Shiv Kumar Subramaniam was also a screenplay writer of Parinda (1989) and Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi (2005). Parinda movie won the filmfare award for best screenplay while Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi won the filmfare award for best story.

Shiv Kumar Subramaniam died in Mumbai

Shiv Kumar Subramaniam died on April 11 in Mumbai but the reason of his death is not known yet. He is survived by his wife, Divya. Two months ago, his son Jehan died of a brain tumour. Shiv Kumar’s death is the second shocking news to the family.

Director Hansal Mehta mourned on Shiv Kumar Subramaniam’s death

Director Hansal Mehta mourned on the death of Shiv Kumar. “Terrible news to wake up to. Shiv Subramaniam gone. Heartbreaking,” he tweeted.

Hansal Mehta expressed condolences to his family and also gave information about Shiv Kumar’s funeral in one more tweet. “The funeral will leave from Shishira, Yamuna Nagar, Lokhandwala Back Road, Andheri West at 10 am, 11.04.2022. The cremation will be at 11 am at Mokshadham Hindu Shamshanbhoomi, Ceasar Rd, Amboli, Andheri West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400058,” he wrote.

Shiv Kumar Subramaniam was the screenplay writer of Teen Patti (2010) in which he also acted as Mr. Bose. He acted in movies — 2 States (2014), Rocky Handsome (2016), Hichki (2018), Meenakshi Sundareshwar (2021), Nail Polish (2021). Besides movies, he also got famous from the tv serial Mukti Bandhan.
