The veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar’s health has deteriorated again, Dr. Pratit Samdani said, who is treating her at the Breach Candy hospital. The 92 year old Lata Mangeshkar was diagnosed with Covid-19 and pneumonia on January 8.
As per the latest updates, the veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar’s health has deteriorated again. She is critical and on a ventilator. She will remain under the observation of doctors.
Dr. Pratit Samdani, who is treating her at the Breach Candy hospital, gives update about her health condition. “Lata Mangeshkar’s health condition has deteriorated again, she is critical. She is on a ventilator. She is still in ICU and will remain under the observation of doctors,” Dr Pratit Samdani said to news agency ANI.
“Singer Lata Mangeshkar is in the ICU ward. She continues to be under aggressive therapy and is tolerating the procedures well at this moment,” Dr. Pratit Samdani said while interacting with the media.
The 92 year old Lata Mangeshkar was diagnosed with Covid-19 and pneumonia on January 11. She was immediately admitted to the Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital after diagnosis.
On January 29, Dr. Samdani while giving update about Lata’s condition said that she had recovered from Covid-19 and pneumonia and had been removed from the ventilator. It was a sigh of relief for her fans but now her condition worsens again.
Lata Mangeshkar is one of the most iconic singers in India. The legendary singer is fondly known as “Nightingale of India.” She has sung over a thousand Hindi films and also in several Indian languages and foreign languages.
She was awarded the Bharat Ratan, India’s highest civilian honour, in the year 2001. She is also the recipient of Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, Dada Saheb Phalke award and many other National awards.
