The 21 year old Harnaaz Sandhu becomes the 70th Miss Universe 2021, held in Eilat, Israel. She brings this title India, 21 years after Lara Dutta’s win in 2000. She makes India proud by winning this title.
Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned by Andrea Meza, the 69th Miss Universe from Mexico. Before Sandhu, only two Indians have won this title- Sushmita Sen in 1994 and Lara Dutta in 2000. Harnaaz Sandhu is basically from Chandigarh, who represented India in the 70th Miss Universe.

From one of the three rounds, contestants were asked, “What advice would you give to young women watching on how to deal with the pressures they face today?” India’s Harnaaz Sandhu gave a beautiful answer. She said, “the biggest pressure the youth of today is facing to believe in themselves, to know you are unique and that would makes you beautiful and stop comparing yourselves with others and lets talk about more important things that are happening worldwide.”
“This is what you need to understand. Come out speak for yourself because you are the leader of your life. You are the voice of your own. I believed in myself and that’s why I am standing here today.” she further said.

Harnaaz Sandhu has several other titles to her name. She won LIVA Miss DIVA Universe 2021, Femina Miss India Punjab in 2019 and Miss Max Emerging Star India in 2018.
Sandhu born and brought up in Chandigarh, India. Now, she is pursuing Master’s in Business Administration. She has also starred in many punjabi films. Sandhu is highly inspired by her mother, who is a successful gynaecologist.
