Before coming into film industry, Rajinikanth was a bus conductor. He is the only Indian actor to be featured in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) syllabus, in a lesson named ‘From Bus Conductor to Superstar.’
In 1975, Superstar Rajinikanth debuted in the Tamil cinema from the film Apoorva Raagangal, directed by late K. Balachander. He made debut in the bollywood in 1983 from the film ‘Andha Kanoon’, alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini.
He received the Padma Bhushan award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2016. He also received ‘Dada Saheb Phalke award’ in 2020, which is the highest award in the Indian film industry. Recently, he has been seen in the film ‘Annaatthe’, which was released on November 4, 2021.
