Despite, the importance of post has not reduced.
There are many services which can be reached only through posts. Every year, more than 150 countries celebrate the World Post Day in many ways. International handwriting competition is held and some countries hold conferences, seminars and exhibitions on this day.
On the occassion of World Post Day, UN Secretary General gives a message, “On World Post Day, we recognize the invaluable contributions of postal workers to our societies and economies. The vast postal network- involving millions of workers moving billions of pieces of mail through hundreds of thousands of post offices – is woven into our societies, connecting communities the world over.”
