Malayalam actor Nedumudi Venu died at the age of 73

 The actor and screenwriter Nedumudi Venu died on October 11 at the age of 73. Nedumudi Venu won three national film awards and six kerala state film awards for his performances.

The actor and screenwriter Nedumudi Venu died on October 11 at the age of 73. He took his last breath in the private hospital of Thiruvananthapuram on monday. He had liver related ailments for some time.

He acted in number of malayalam films and also in tamil films. He started his career as a theatre artist. His debut movie was Thambu (1978) directed by G Aravindan. He spanned almost five decades in his career and acted in more than 500 films.

Some of his best films are Aaravam, Aarohanam, Chillu, Komaram, Saira, Aaroodam, Kinnaram, Asthram, Oridathoru Phayalvaan, Kallan Pavithran and many more. He also directed one film titled Pooram.

Besides actor, he was also a screenwriter. He wrote the stories of the films Kattathe Kilikkoodu, Theertham, Sruthi, Ambada Njaane, Oru Katha Oru Nunnakkatha, Savidham and Angane Oru Avadhikkalathu. He also played roles in some tv serials.

Nedumudi Venu won three national film awards and six kerala state film awards for his performances. He was one of the finest actors in the malayalam cinema.
