Arvind Trivedi was 82 years old and was suffering from age related issues. Sunil Lahiri, Arvind Govil and Dipika Chikhlia who had played the role of Lakshman, Ram and Sita respectively in Ramayan, paid tribute to him.

Arvind Trivedi who had played the role of Ravan in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan died of heart attack on tuesday night. He was 82 years old and was suffering from age related issues.
His nephew Kaushaubh Trivedi confirmed the news of death to Indian Express, “Arvind uncle was not keeping well and his health further deteriorated in the last couple of years. He passed away on Tuesday night around 9.30 pm after suffering a heart attack. He was 82 years old. He went peacefully at his home in Kandivali (Mumbai) surrounded by his family.”
Arvind Trivedi was cremated at Dhanukar Wadi Cremation ground in Kandivali on wednesday morning.
The actor Sunil Lahiri who had played the role of Lakshman in Ramayan paid tribute to Arvind Trivedi, “Bahut dukhad Samachar hai ki Hamare Sabke Pyare Arvind bhai (Ravan of Ramayan) Ab Hamare bich Nahin Rahe Bhagwan Unki Atma ko Shanti De (Its very sad news that our dear Arvind bhai is no more with us. May God bring peace to his soul) I am speechless I lost father figure my guide well wisher & gentleman”
Arvind Govil who had played the role of Ram in the Ramayan took to twitter and expressed his condolences on the demise of Arvind Trivedi.

Actor Dipika Chikhlia who was seen in the role of Sita in Ramayan also expressed her condolences. She wrote, “my heart felt condolences to his family …a very fine human being”
First time Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan was aired on Doordarshan in 1987. At that time, it was very popular among the people. There was a different craze about the Ramayan. During the Covid-19 lockdown period, Ramayan was again aired on Doordarshan. People again showed interest in Ramayan and it broke number of records on the television.
Apart from Ramayan, Arvind Trivedi also acted in the tv serials like Vikram aur Beetal and Vishwamitra. He also acted in 300 films including Hindi and Gujarati. Trivedi acted in films like Paraya Dhan, Jangal Mein Mangal, Aaj ki Taaza Khabar, Kunwarbai Nu Mamerun, Trimurti, Hothal Padmini, Maniyaro, Desh Re Joya Dada Pardesh Joya and more.
He won seven awards for the best acting in Gujarati films from the Government of Gujarat. Arvind Trivedi was a politician too. He remained the member of parliament in Lok Sabha from 1991 to 1996 as a member of Bharatiya Janata Party.
