Get ready for late-night laughs with Taylor Tomlinson, the youngest female host to take the CBS “After Midnight” stage. A groundbreaking moment in TV history.
Taylor Tomlinson has been unveiled as the new host of CBS’ upcoming late-night program, “After Midnight,” taking the reins after “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.” The show is scheduled to air at 12:37 am ET, a time slot previously occupied by James Corden’s “The Late Late Show.”
This announcement marks a significant moment as Tomlinson is set to become the sole female host of a late-night network television show, joining the ranks alongside Colbert, NBC’s Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers, and Jimmy Kimmel at ABC. During the reveal on Colbert’s show, Tomlinson humorously shared her journey as a stand-up comedian and her lack of traditional employment.
Tomlinson’s impressive resume includes two specials on Netflix and an ongoing “Have It All” tour with performances in various states. Colbert, who will also serve as the executive producer of the new show, emphasized the need for a fun, youthful, and internet-savvy host.
He personally informed Tomlinson of her selection, leading to a lighthearted exchange about her upcoming 30th birthday. “After Midnight” is expected to debut in early 2024, inspired by the canceled Comedy Central series, “@midnight with Chris Hardwick.”
