Actor Tyler Christopher, best known for his roles in “General Hospital” and “Days of Our Lives,” has passed away at the age of 50. His representative, Chi Muoi Lo, confirmed his death, expressing deep sadness and highlighting his talent and friendship. Maurice Bernard, his co-star from “General Hospital,” paid tribute to Christopher, praising his acting and kind-hearted nature.

In 2008, Tyler Christopher married ESPN reporter Brienne Pedigo, with whom he had two children. The couple ended their marriage in 2021. Previously, he was married to actress Eva Longoria from 2002 to 2004.

Christopher gained fame for portraying Nikolas Cassadine on “General Hospital” from 1996 to 2016, earning a Daytime Emmy win and several nominations. He briefly starred as Stefan DiMera on “Days of Our Lives” from 2018 to 2019, earning another Daytime Emmy nomination.

Apart from his successful acting career, Tyler Christopher faced personal challenges towards the end of his life. He underwent craniotomy surgery in 2019 after an accident at home, and his sister acted as his legal guardian during his recovery.

In May, he was arrested for public intoxication at the Hollywood-Burbank airport. Christopher openly discussed his struggles with bipolar depression and alcohol, advocating for better mental health and substance use treatment.
