WPL 2023 Opening Ceremony will take place on March 4, 2023 at 6:25 PM IST at DY Patil Stadium. Bollywood stars Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon will perform at the opening ceremony of WPL 2023 alongwith Punjabi-Canadian singer and rapper AP Dhillon.
The inaugural edition of WPL is going to begin on March 4, 2023. There are total five teams in the tournament – Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore and UP Warriorz.
The first match of the tournament will be played between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants on March 4 at 7:30 PM at DY Patil Stadium. All the matches of WPL 2023 will be played at two venues – DY Patil Stadium and Brabourne Stadium.
The tournament will continue till the final on March 26, 2023. Top three teams will reach in the playoffs. The No.1 team will automatically reach in the final while the eliminator will be played between the second and third place team.
Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur will lead Mumbai Indians in the WPL 2023 while the top batter Smriti Mandhana will lead Royal Challengers Bangalore. Meg Lanning will be the captain of Delhi Capitals and the Gujarat Titans will be led by Beth Mooney. UP Warriorz will play under the captaincy of Alyssa Healy.

WPL 2023 Opening Ceremony
Before the first match of WPL 2023, the opening ceremony will take place on March 4, 2022 at DY Patil Stadium. The opening ceremony has been rescheduled. Now, it will begin at 6:25 PM IST instead of 5:30 PM IST.

Bollywood stars Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon will perform at the opening ceremony of WPL 2023 alongwith Punjabi-Canadian singer and rapper AP Dhillon. They will entertain the spectators at DY Patil Stadium.
Many other Bollywood celebrities and high-profile politicians are expected to attend the opening ceremony of WPL 2023. Singer Shankar Mahadevan will sing the WPL anthem.
