Former UP Cabinet Minister Ramveer Upadhyay passed away at 65

Fomer Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Ramveer Upadhyay has passed away in Agra, Uttar Pradesh at the age of 65. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to him.

Fomer Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Ramveer Upadhyay has passed away in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. He had been ill for sometime. His supporters shocked by his sudden demise. He was 65.

He was a member of the 17th Legislative Assembly of the state of Uttar Pradesh. He was a lawyer and agriculturist by profession.

He was born on August 1, 1957 in the village of Bamauli in Hathras district. Upadhyay completed his Bachelor of Laws degree from Meerut University.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed condolences on the demise of Ramveer Upadhyay. He wrote in hindi, “The demise of former Uttar Pradesh minister and senior politician Shri Ramveer Upadhyay ji is extremely sad. Praying to Lord Shri Ram to grant the departed soul a place at his feet and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this unfathomable loss. Peace!”

Ramveer Upadhyay married Seema Upadhyay on February 14, 1985 with whom he had two daughters and a son.

He remained MLA for five terms. The first time he became an MLA in 1996 on a BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party) ticket. Previously, he represented the Sikandra Rao constituency. From 2017, he represented the Sadabad constituency.

On January 14 2022, he resigned from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and on January 15 2022, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
