She shared a collection of photos and videos from the hospital, describing how she feels “like an old lady.” In her caption, she announced her new album and wrote, “Long story short, I’m lucky to be alive.”
Alongside the health update, Halsey revealed her fifth studio album and released its lead single, “The End,” where she sings about frequent health issues: “every couple of years now, the doctor says I’m sick.”

In her Instagram video, Halsey shared her determination to overcome her health challenges: “I told myself I’m giving myself two more years to be sick. When I’m 30, I’m having a rebirth and I’m not going to be sick. I’m going to look super hot and have lots of energy and get to redo my 20s in my 30s.”
Halsey has often spoken about her health issues, mentioning that she has been unwell for much of her adult life. Her condition worsened during her pregnancy with her son, Ender, in 2021. She has been treated for endometriosis, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjogren’s syndrome, and mast cell activation syndrome.
