Plot Summary

The film centers on Emilia (José Way), a violinist living a comfortable, seemingly happily married life with her husband, Charles, and their small daughter in the Netherlands. Her life is conventional, pleasant, and utterly predictable.

Her quiet existence is abruptly shattered with the arrival of Leon (Huub Stapel), a compelling and enigmatic stranger who purchases her mother’s house. The initial professional encounter between Emilia and Leon quickly turns into a passionate, illicit affair.

What begins as a simple betrayal escalates into a series of erotic games and intense fantasies. The only rule established for their dangerous liaison is that they can explore their desires to the limit, until one of them says, “enough.” Leon is immediately fascinated by the boldness and intensity with which Emilia throws herself into this life of transgression.

As Emilia delves deeper into her newfound, wild sexuality, the affair threatens to consume her, challenging the stability of her marriage and her sense of self. The film explores the profound upheaval caused when a woman breaks free from the mold of a conventional life, and the consequences of surrendering entirely to desire and fantasy.
