Series Summary
Ozark follows Marty Byrde, a self-employed financial advisor in Chicago who, along with his business partner, secretly launders money for the second-largest Mexican drug cartel. When a money laundering scheme goes wrong and his partner is murdered, Marty makes a desperate, spur-of-the-moment pitch to the cartel lieutenant: he will move his family to the remote Lake of the Ozarks region in central Missouri to set up a massive, $500 million laundering operation.
