The remaining matches will be hosted across six cities: Bengaluru, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Visakhapatnam. Notably, matches originally planned in Chennai and Hyderabad have been relocated.
The resumption kicks off with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) facing Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on May 17 in Bengaluru.
Importance of Upcoming Matches
Gujarat Titans (GT) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB): Both teams are leading the table with 16 points and are on the brink of securing playoff spots. A single win could confirm their qualification.
Punjab Kings (PBKS): With 15 points, PBKS needs at least one more win to strengthen their playoff chances.
Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC): Both teams are in contention but must secure victories in their remaining matches to stay in the playoff race.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG): These teams have slim chances and must win all their remaining matches to keep their hopes alive.
Rajasthan Royals (RR), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), and Chennai Super Kings (CSK): These teams are virtually out of the playoff race and may focus on building for the next season.
