Paul Danan, renowned for his role as Sol Patrick in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks and appearances on reality shows like Celebrity Love Island and Celebrity Big Brother, has passed away at the age of 46.

His management company, Independent Creative PR, announced his death, stating: “It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the passing of Paul Danan at just 46 years old. Known for his television presence, exceptional talent, and unwavering kindness, Paul was a beacon of light to so many.”
Danan had been open about his struggles with addiction. In 2017, he experienced a near-fatal heroin overdose. More recently, he suffered respiratory failure attributed to vaping, which required hospitalization.
Beyond his television career, Danan was dedicated to helping others facing similar challenges. He established a drama school aimed at supporting individuals battling addiction and mental health issues.
