In a heartfelt blog post titled “I am rich and have no idea what to do with my life,” Hiremath expressed feelings of confusion and a lack of direction after achieving significant financial success.
He revealed that life post-acquisition has been challenging, stating, “After selling my company, I find myself in the totally un-relatable position of never having to work again. Everything feels like a side quest, but not in an inspiring way.”
Hiremath also discussed his internal conflict over remaining with the acquiring company, despite being offered a substantial pay package of $60 million. He ultimately chose to depart, acknowledging that his decision was influenced by the realization that he no longer had the same drive to make money or gain status.
Additionally, he reflected on a period where he considered venturing into robotics, meeting with numerous investors and experts. However, he recognized that his motivations were misaligned, admitting, “It started to dawn on me that what I actually wanted was to look like Elon, and that is incredibly cringe.”

On a personal note, Hiremath apologized to his ex-girlfriend, attributing their breakup to his insecurities and the existential challenges he faced after the company’s sale. He expressed gratitude for her support and regret for not being able to meet her needs during that tumultuous period.
Currently, Hiremath is in Hawaii, self-studying physics with the aim of building a new company focused on manufacturing tangible products. He acknowledges that while his next venture may not replicate Loom’s success, he hopes it will provide a sense of fulfillment and purpose.
