Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, who passed away on December 29, 2024, at the age of 100, was honored with a state funeral at the Washington National Cathedral on January 9, 2025.

The service was attended by all living U.S. presidents, including President Joe Biden, who delivered a eulogy, and President-elect Donald Trump.

Other dignitaries present included former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton, along with their spouses, except for Michelle Obama.

International figures such as Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and UN Secretary-General António Guterres also attended.
