Travel influencer Sharanya Iyer has gained significant attention for her recent Instagram reel detailing her expenditures in 2024, totaling over ₹50 lakh. A substantial portion of this amount was allocated to international travel, with flight expenses alone amounting to approximately ₹5 lakh.

Her travels included destinations such as Greenland (₹3 lakh), Iceland (₹2.5 lakh for three trips), Thailand and Laos (₹1 lakh combined), Madeira (₹1.5 lakh), and a family trip to South Africa (₹8 lakh).
Additionally, she spent around ₹60,000 on a European summer trip, during which she won ₹40,000 at a casino, slightly offsetting the costs.
Beyond her travel adventures, Sharanya invested ₹22 lakh in a new car and incurred ₹5 lakh in medical expenses not covered by insurance. She clarified that these figures exclude daily living expenses and food costs.
In her post, she reflected on her evolving perspective towards spending, transitioning from being a cautious saver to embracing the joy of indulging in experiences, influenced by guidance from family and friends.
