Renowned British guitarist John Sykes, celebrated for his contributions to bands such as Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, and Blue Murder, passed away at the age of 65, following a battle with cancer.

About John Sykes

Sykes began his musical career with Tygers of Pan Tang before joining Thin Lizzy in 1982, contributing to their album “Thunder and Lightning.” He later became a pivotal member of Whitesnake, playing on the successful 1987 self-titled album, which featured hits like “Still of the Night” and “Is This Love.”

In 1988, he formed the band Blue Murder, further showcasing his exceptional guitar skills.

Beyond his musical achievements, Sykes was known for his thoughtful and charismatic personality, endearing him to fans and peers alike. His passing marks a significant loss in the rock music community.
