Caroline Kennedy has publicly denounced her cousin, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., labeling him a “predator” and urging U.S. senators to oppose his nomination as Secretary of Health and Human Services.

In a letter and accompanying video shared by her son, Jack Schlossberg, Kennedy criticized RFK Jr.’s qualifications and moral character, recounting their childhood and accusing him of influencing family members towards drug addiction.
She also highlighted his contradictory stance on vaccines, decrying his dangerous impact on public health, citing the 2019 Samoa measles outbreak as an example.

She accused him of exploiting family tragedies for personal gain and of having predatory behavior.
Despite her objections, some senators, including Rand Paul, have expressed support for RFK Jr., arguing he could rebuild public trust in government health advice. RFK Jr.‘s controversial stance on vaccines and past statements have intensified the debate around his suitability for the role. The Senate will question RFK Jr. about his views before voting on his nomination.
