Beyond the baseball diamond, Uecker’s charisma led to over 100 appearances on “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson,” earning him national recognition. He also starred in the ABC sitcom “Mr. Belvedere” and portrayed a memorable announcer in the “Major League” film series.
