A 7.1 magnitude earthquake shakes Nepal, and some regions of India. As of now, no casualties have been reported in India.
On January 7, 2025, at approximately 6:35 AM IST, a magnitude 7.1 earthquake struck near Lobuche, Nepal, with a depth of 10 kilometers. The tremors were felt across several regions, including Bihar, India, where residents in Patna, Sheohar, Sitamarhi, and Muzaffarpur reported significant shaking.

In Bihar, the tremors prompted people to evacuate their homes; however, there have been no reports of property damage.
As of now, no casualties have been reported.
