As per reports, Irizarry placed a pizza order totaling $33.10 and handed the delivery driver, 22-year-old Brianna Alvelo, a $50 bill, expecting change. Alvelo informed her that store policy prohibited providing change, leading Irizarry to tip $2 after obtaining smaller bills. Reportedly, Alvelo “rolled her eyes and walked away without saying anything.”

Later that night, Alvelo returned to the motel with an unidentified male accomplice, both wearing face masks. They forced their way into the room, with the male suspect brandishing a firearm and ordering Irizarry’s boyfriend into the bathroom. Alvelo then attacked Irizarry with a pocket knife, stabbing her 14 times as she shielded her daughter. The assailants also stole items from the room before fleeing.

Irizarry sustained severe injuries, including a ruptured lung, and underwent emergency surgery. While hospitalized, she discovered she was a few weeks pregnant. She is currently in stable condition.

Alvelo has been arrested and faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, home invasion with a firearm, kidnapping, and aggravated assault. The male accomplice remains unidentified, and authorities are seeking information regarding his whereabouts.
