Indian Grandmaster Koneru Humpy has clinched her second Women’s World Rapid Chess Championship title at the 2024 FIDE World Rapid Championships held in New York.

Humpy secured the championship with a score of 8.5 out of 11 rounds, culminating in a decisive victory against Indonesia’s Irene Sukandar.
This achievement adds to her previous World Rapid title won in 2019, reinforcing her status as one of the leading figures in women’s chess.
