On December 27, 2024, during the third ODI against the West Indies Women’s team, Renuka made history by becoming the first Indian woman cricketer to dismiss both opposition openers for ducks in a One-Day International.

She achieved this remarkable feat by taking two wickets in her very first over, setting a dominant tone for the match.
Earlier, on December 22, 2024, in the first ODI against the West Indies at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara, Renuka secured her maiden five-wicket haul in ODIs, recording impressive figures of 5/29. Her exceptional bowling performance was instrumental in India’s commanding 211-run victory.
Renuka attributed her success to the hard work she has invested in honing her in-swing deliveries, a skill she has been developing since her early days.
Return from Injury
Renuka‘s recent performances are particularly commendable, considering her return from a stress injury that had sidelined her since the end of the Women’s Premier League in 2023. She emphasized that her improved fitness has enabled her to deliver extended bowling spells effectively.
