Air Force Day 2024: Every year Indian Air Force Day is celebrated on October 8. This year, India is celebrating 92nd Air Force Day. Indian Air Force was established on this day in 1932 and since then this day has been celebrated every year.

This day is celebrated with full of enthusiasm and fervour across the country. IAF conduct their respective parades at their air bases on this day. Protecting air space is the prime duty of Air Force.

This year, Air Force Day fly-past is scheduled to take place at Marina Beach, Chennai. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will be present there during the event.

Indian Air Force is the fourth largest Air Force in the world after United States, Russia and China. Marshal Amar Preet Singh is the current Chief of the Indian Air Staff.

Air Force Day 2024:- PM Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh greet IAF

On the 92nd Indian Air Force Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi greets air warriors and their families.

“Air Force Day greetings to our brave air warriors. Our Air Force is admired for their courage and professionalism. Their role in protecting our nation is extremely commendable,” PM Modi tweeted.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also greets courageous IAF air warriors and their families on the Indian Air Force Day.

“Greetings to all courageous Air Warriors and their families on the Indian Air Force (IAF) Day. The IAF is synonymous with courage, valour and professionalism. They have always kept our skies safe and are widely admired for their service during times of crisis. India is proud of its air warriors,” Rajnath Singh tweeted.
