Aanvi Kamdar had garnered significant popularity on Instagram for her travel reels, amassing over 250,000 followers.
A social media influencer from Raigad, Maharashtra, named Aanvi Kamdar, tragically died after falling into a gorge while recording a reel, according to newswire PTI.
The 27-year-old, who had transitioned from a career as a chartered accountant to a popular travel influencer, was on a monsoon outing with seven friends at a waterfall on Tuesday when the accident occurred.

Kamdar slipped and fell into a 300-foot deep gorge near the ‘Kumbhe’ waterfall in Mangaon while filming a video, as reported by a police official. Her friends quickly informed the police authorities, prompting an immediate response from the police and the fire and rescue team.
After a grueling six-hour rescue effort, Aanvi was retrieved from the gorge. She was rushed to a nearby medical facility but unfortunately succumbed to her severe injuries during treatment.

Professionally, Aanvi Kamdar had previously worked with the IT consulting firm Deloitte. She had garnered significant popularity on Instagram for her travel reels, amassing over 250,000 followers.
In light of this incident, authorities have issued a cautionary appeal to tourists, emphasizing the need for extreme caution when visiting waterfalls, particularly during the monsoon season.
