At least four individuals and a suspect lost their lives in a Kentucky shooting early Saturday, as reported by the Florence Police Department.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m. at a residence on Ridgecrest Drive in Florence, a city in northern Kentucky.

Authorities responded to the location after receiving reports of an active shooter.
Upon arrival, police discovered at least four deceased individuals and several others injured.
The suspect allegedly fled the scene in a vehicle, leading to a police pursuit. The chase ended when the suspect’s vehicle crashed into a ditch on Dale Heimbrock Way near Hicks Pike.
Police found the suspect with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The identities of the victims and the suspect have not yet been released.
