The Department of Communications has initiated the online application process for 44,228 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) positions at India Post. Aspiring candidates can apply for the roles of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak through the official website, indiapostgdsonline.gov.in, with the application deadline set for August 5.

Eligibility Criteria for India Post GDS Recruitment 2024
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 40 years of age. There are relaxations in the upper age limit for candidates from reserved categories.
Educational Qualifications: Applicants must have completed Class 10 or SSC with passing marks in Mathematics and English. Additionally, candidates should have studied the local language up to at least Class 10.
Other Requirements: Proficiency in computers, cycling, and adequate means of livelihood are also required.

Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on a system-generated merit list, determined by the marks obtained in Class 10. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via the GDS portal, SMS, and email regarding the results and subsequent steps, including dates for physical document verification.

Application Fee
The application fee is ₹100. However, this fee is waived for all female applicants, SC/ST applicants, PwD applicants, and Transwomen applicants.
Application Requirements
Candidates need to have scanned images of their photograph (not exceeding 50 kb) and signature (not exceeding 20 kb) in .jpg/.jpeg format before applying.
