“Venom: The Last Dance” trailer features Hardy confronting a massive symbiote alien from Venom’s home planet while also being pursued by government agents.
Venom is back, and Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for “Venom: The Last Dance,” the concluding film in the Spider-Man villain trilogy.
Tom Hardy reprises his role as Eddie Brock, the host for the brain-eating symbiote villain Venom from the Spider-Man comics. Billed as “the final film in the trilogy,” the storyline has Eddie and Venom on the run, hunted by enemies from both of their worlds. Facing an inescapable net closing in on them, they must make a devastating decision that will conclude their journey.

The trailer features Hardy confronting a massive symbiote alien from Venom’s home planet while also being pursued by government agents. The preview promises plenty of symbiote action, including a scene where Hardy rides a super-fast, Venom-ized horse. Joining Hardy in this film are “Ted Lasso” star Juno Temple and “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” actor Chiwetel Ejiofor.
Fans last saw Venom teased in the MCU’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home” post-credits scene, where the character experienced the effects of Dr. Strange’s multiverse spell, bringing various Spider-Man villains into the main MCU. Although Venom was teleported back to his universe, he left behind a piece of his symbiote.
“Venom 3” was confirmed by Sony at CinemaCon 2022 following the success of the first two films. The original “Venom” earned $856 million globally, while “Let There Be Carnage” grossed $502 million worldwide despite debuting during the pandemic.
Kelly Marcel, who wrote “Venom” and “Let There Be Carnage,” makes her directorial debut with this third installment. Marcel co-wrote the script with Hardy and serves as a producer alongside Avi Arad, Hutch Parker, Amy Pascal, and Matt Tolmach.
