Mumbai Police clarified that a false complaint was filed against actor Raveena Tandon. Tandon took to her social media platform X to share a post by Viral Bhayani and Instant Bollywood.
On Sunday, the Mumbai Police clarified that a false complaint was filed against actor Raveena Tandon at the Khar police station. She had been accused of drunk driving, reckless behavior, and assault.
“The complainant made a false accusation based on the alleged video. Upon reviewing the complete CCTV footage from the location, we found that the actress’s driver was reversing the car from the road into the society when the family was crossing the lane. The family stopped the car and told the driver to check for pedestrians before reversing, which led to an argument,” stated DCP Rajtilak Roshan.

Raveena Tandon took to her social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a post by Viral Bhayani and Instant Bollywood. The post confirmed that the complaint was false and that CCTV footage proved Tandon’s car did not hit anyone and she was not intoxicated.
As the argument escalated, Tandon intervened to check on her driver and protect him from the crowd. Both she and the family went to the Khar police station to file complaints but later withdrew them.
“The argument included abusive language, and Raveena Tandon arrived to understand what had transpired with her driver. She tried to shield him from the mob, which then started to abuse her. Both Tandon and the family submitted written complaints at the Khar police station but later retracted them,” explained DCP Roshan.
DCP Roshan further confirmed that no one was injured in the incident. “The CCTV footage showed that the car did not hit anyone and that the actress was not drunk,” he reiterated.
In another screenshot shared by Tandon, the Mumbai Police was quoted in an online portal stating that both parties denied filing any complaints. “Tandon’s driver was reversing the car to park it when a family felt they might get hit. After an argument, both parties left, and later, the police questioned Tandon’s staff and called the other party to the station. Both parties denied making any complaints,” according to the Mumbai Police.
