Hindus celebrate Ram Navami with much fervour and enthusiasm. On this day, devotees visit Ayodhya, the birth place of Lord Ram. They take holy dip into sacred river Sarayu and then visit Rama temple to participate in birthday celebrations.
Hindus observe fast from sunrise to sunset during Ram Navami. They also listen or narrate the epic Ramayana or Nama Ramayanam.
