Sakshi Dhoni, the wife of the former Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni, graced the IPL 2024 clash between CSK and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium. Amidst the exhilarating match, Sakshi Dhoni, anticipating her impending role as an aunt, took to Instagram with a heartfelt plea directed at the Chennai Super Kings team. Her post, capturing the attention of fans across social media platforms, urged the CSK squad to swiftly conclude the game owing to her familial anticipation.

She wrote in her instagram story, “Please finish the game fast today @chennaiipl baby is on the way…contractions have begun. Request from – to be ‘Bua’!”

The fervent request seemingly resonated with the CSK camp, as they delivered a clinical bowling performance, spearheaded by the likes of Tushar Deshpande, effectively dismantling the Sunrisers’ batting lineup.

The CSK batting brigade, led by the explosive Ruturaj Gaikwad, who narrowly missed out on a century with a blistering 98 off 54 balls, laid a formidable foundation. Daryl Mitchell’s timely contribution with a brisk 52 and Shivam Dube’s unbeaten 39 bolstered CSK’s total, propelling them beyond the 200-run mark. Even the brief yet impactful cameo by the crowd favorite, MS Dhoni, adding five runs off two balls, further energized the home crowd.

In response, Sunrisers Hyderabad faltered under pressure, failing to recover from Deshpande’s early breakthroughs and struggling to cope with CSK’s disciplined bowling strategy. Their cautious approach backfired, leading to a collapse as they were bundled out for a mere 134 runs.

CSK’s emphatic victory not only halted their two-game losing streak but also elevated them to the third position on the points table, alongside Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, and Delhi Capitals, all with 10 points each. Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad, also with 10 points, saw their position slide to fourth following their defeat.
