Their journey began on the set of the acclaimed 2010 film Black Swan, where Millepied served as the choreographer, contributing significantly to Portman’s Oscar-winning performance. The couple tied the knot on August 4, 2012, and together they share a 12-year-old son and a 7-year-old daughter.

Portman humorously acknowledged their connection during her Golden Globe acceptance speech, where she credited Millepied for choreographing the film and joked about his on-screen role. She expressed gratitude, stating that he had given her the most important role of her life.

However, the recent divorce has stirred speculation, with reports suggesting that Millepied may have had an affair. Portman, addressing these rumors, told Vanity Fair, “It’s terrible, and I have no desire to contribute to it.”

In the aftermath of their separation, both Portman and Millepied continue to pursue their respective careers. Millepied, known for his choreography, is involved in the upcoming Dune: Part Two and made his directorial debut with the 2022 musical drama Carmen.
