In supporting roles, Robert Downey Jr. (Oppenheimer) and Da’vine Joy Randolph (The Holdovers) continued their winning streak, securing equivalent awards as seen in numerous recent award shows. Their consistent recognition positions them as frontrunners for the Oscars on March 10, especially considering the precedent from the previous year where all SAG Awards winners in film acting categories went on to win Oscars.
The 30th annual SAG Awards, broadcasted live on Netflix, highlighted Oppenheimer’s dominance on the film side, clinching three awards. In contrast, Barbie experienced a notable shutout, going 0-4 on the night.
