Kannada film actor Nagabhushan S S has been taken into custody after a high-speed car, purportedly driven by him, collided with a couple on Vasanthapura Main Road.
Tragically, the crash resulted in the death of a 48-year-old woman, Prema S, and left her 58-year-old husband, Krishna B, in critical condition.
The incident, which unfolded on the night of September 30, involved the actor driving recklessly from Uttarahalli towards Konanakunte Cross. Authorities reported that the vehicle struck the pedestrians on the footpath before crashing into an electric pole.
The injured couple was swiftly transported to a private hospital, where the woman succumbed to her injuries on route. Currently, her husband is receiving medical treatment.
The Kumaraswamy layout traffic police promptly responded to the scene, apprehending Nagabhushan. Known for his roles in comedic films, the actor now faces legal repercussions as a case has been filed, and the car has been impounded for further investigation.
