On Wednesday, the Kerala State Lottery Department unveiled the winning ticket number for the grand prize of ₹25 crore in the Onam Thiruvonam Bumper BR-93 lottery.
The fortunate ticket bearing the number TE 230662 hails from Kozhikode. The announcement of this momentous Kerala lottery result took place following a fortuitous draw held at Gorky Bhavan, near Bakery Junction in Thiruvananthapuram, the state capital. The proceedings were meticulously overseen by impartial judges.
Established in 1967, Kerala State Lotteries are administered by the Government of Kerala. Notably, the winning ticket was purchased in Walayar, Palakkad.

This ₹25 crore prize stands as a historic milestone in Kerala’s lottery history. After a 30 percent income-tax deduction, the recipient is anticipated to receive approximately ₹17.5 crore.
Furthermore, the second prize, amounting to ₹1 crore, will be awarded to 20 fortunate individuals, while another 20 will claim the third prize of ₹50 lakh each. Additionally, the fourth prize, totaling ₹5 lakh, will be distributed among 10 individuals.
In contrast to the previous year’s offerings, where there was only one second prize of ₹5 crore, 20 individuals received ₹50 lakh each as the third prize, and 10 lucky individuals received ₹5 lakh each as the fourth prize.
This year, the sale of Thiruvonam Bumper tickets reached record-breaking figures, with over 70 lakh tickets sold by Wednesday morning, the final day for ticket purchases. Officials from the lottery department attribute this heightened ticket sales to alterations in the prize structure.
To put it into perspective, the previous year witnessed 397,911 fortunate winners who received various Onam bumper prizes.
